We have been able to reduce our overall power consumption for cooling by 90%. Despite the consumption reduction, the air supply temperature is maintained at the same level as traditional air conditioning units. The huge consumption reduction is further aided by our state of the art cold isle containment system. It was founded in 1994 by a group of Internet service providers. LINX is a founder member of EURO-IX, a Europe-wide alliance of Internet Exchanges. It is currently the third largest neutral IXP in Europe in terms of average throughput . LINX is a not-for-profit organisation. Internet service providers join LINX as members and sign a memorandum of understanding. Members collectively \'own\' the company and all members have a single vote at AGMs and EGMs in matters relating to finances, constitution, and what activities LINX may carry out.
